Delaney has been a proud member of the EGHA for ten years.
Thanks to great coaches and even better teammates, Delaney's love of the game has grown throughout the years.
Delaney hopes to pursue a career in the medical field and will be off to university in the fall focusing on Health Sciences.
A note from your mom:
Dear Delaney,
It has been a privilege to watch you play the game that you have grown to love so much over the past ten years. Although the time has come for you to hang up your skates and look towards the future, I know that you will carry all of the lessons that you have learned at the rink with you wherever you go.
You have learned that winning requires teamwork. You can't go it alone in life. You have learned the importance of supporting other young women and recognizing their accomplishments. You have learned the importance of keeping your head up. If you're always looking down, you will miss out on so many important opportunities. You have learned that being disciplined pays off, and that keeping calm in the face of adversity is key to success. You have learned to celebrate the wins and learn from the losses. Perhaps most importantly, you have learned that no matter how many times you get knocked down, you get back up again. Always!
You are fierce and you will go far, my girl. Of this I have no doubt.
