Ava started playing hockey at the young age of six! She will be attending university in the fall to pursue Life Science (most likely at Queen’s or McMaster).

We saw every moment of your hockey life and we are so proud. From growing up skating on the lake chasing your brothers around and winning battles, to the hat trick in your first Tyke game, we loved cheering you on. From Provincial Rep competitions to House-league tournaments. There were close call heartbreakers and victories to savour.Home games with grandparents watching and the big crowds to the practices with just a few friends.
It was always good times, like ice cream for breakfast. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Hopefully you learned all the great lessons of hockey: be proud of your community and give back as a volunteer. Be a part of a team and be encouraging and a kind friend.
Be the best you can be win or lose, hold your head high. Stick up for yourself and your team mates. Always know that young girls can do anything in this world and become young women who will make sure that happens for the next generation, in hockey and beyond.
