Danika started her hockey career with the Ennismore Girls Hockey league at just eight years old. After her first year playing she wanted to be a goalie and that is how she spent the majority of each hockey season!
Due to a knee injury, Danika finished her hockey career in Ennismore as a player this season, and the team was great at supporting her in her new position. Her time at the rink also allowed Danika to give back by volunteering as a goalie coach for younger players and teaching at the Lakefield Canskate program.
Moving forward, she is excited to continue on this path, as she has accepted an offer to attend Trent University in the Fall to pursue a Bachelor of Science in the teacher’s stream.
A note from your parents:
We are incredibly proud of your achievements, Danika, and look forward to seeing the bright future that lies ahead for you.
